Silver Lake Marine is a business in the retail marine industry that sells goods and services to clients in South Africa. Goods include new, preowned and rental boats and jet skis. We also provide electronic marine goods, accessories and safety equipment. Services offered include storage facilities, launch and retrieve services, valet services as well as boat and jet ski motor maintenance.

In the unlikely event that any information on this website is incorrect due to technical inaccuracies or typographical errors, Silver Lake Marine and its employees cannot be held responsible for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages that may arise from the use of erroneous information found on the website.
This website may include links to other websites. These links are provided solely for information purposes, Silver Lake Marine and its employees are not responsible, and cannot be held liable for the content displayed on these websites.
Pricing of products and services may vary from time-to-time. While we endeavour to keep the latest price list available and up-to-date at all times, there may be a variance in the prices from time-to-time.
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within five working days and delivery confirmed by way of email. Orders for tubes and skis will be delivered using RC Couriers and their third-party suppliers at a flat shipping fee per order determined by Silver Lake Marine. Orders for all electronic goods will be directly delivered to clients from Lowrance. No shipping fees for electronic goods will apply. Silver Lake Marine reserves the right to review these fees annually in January of each year.
The offering on this website is available to South African clients only.
Return and refunds policy
The provision of goods and services by Silver Lake Marine is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Silver Lake Marine will refund the client in full within 30 days. Although seldom charged, Silver Lake Marine reserves the right to charge a 10% handling fee should the delivery address provided be incorrect, if a client changes their mind and the delivery already went out or if the recipient already has a similar product and needs to exchange the item for something else.
If clients receive an item that is different to the one ordered, Silver Lake Marine must be notified within 48 hours of receiving it to make return arrangements and for the correct item to be delivered. If the incorrect item is delivered, clients must not remove the item from its original packaging, open or use the item in any way. If the item is opened or used in any way and is not in the condition that it was delivered in, clients will be liable for a 10% handling fee.
If an item is faulty, clients need to let Silver Lake Marine know within 48 hours of receiving it. Silver Lake Marine will arrange for the faulty item to be returned for testing. If no bugs or faults are found, the item will be returned to the client at their cost. If the item is found to be faulty and there is a problem, depending on the fault and the product supplier, Silver Lake Marine will offer the client a replacement.
Silver Lake Marine shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from here.
Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into Silver Lake Marine’s bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
Credit card acquiring and security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Silver Lake Marine via PayGate (Pty) Ltd, which is the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Silver Lake Marine separately from card details, which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
Merchant outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Silver Lake Marine takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Silver Lake Marine chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
Silver Lake Marine may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice. Please return periodically to review the latest in our commitments to you.
